Homecoming at University of the Cumberlands will take place Friday, October 19 through Sunday, October 21 this year. The theme “It’s a Cumberlands Thing” focuses on all the little things about UC that connect every Cumberlands alumnus.
UC’s campus will be bursting with fun festivities all weekend long, such as alumni luncheons, concerts, and performances, an alumni baseball cookout/homerun derby, the annual Red Boot Run 5K, a Campus Activities Board reunion, and more. On Saturday, the Patriots football team faces off against the Bluefield College Rams. Kickoff is at 7 p.m., and there will be a firework display after the game.
Alumni can register for Homecoming on campus or online, though registration is not required to enjoy the festivities. A full list of Homecoming activities can be found on UC’s website and on the University of the Cumberlands Alumni Facebook page.
“I always look forward to Homecoming because it is a time that alumni can reconnect with one another and with the University,” said Erica Harris, Executive Director of Alumni Services. “It is always a pleasure to see the many faces of alumni and friends who are back on campus for the first time in years. That’s what it’s about: relationships and memories.”
