University of the Cumberlands has partnered with Grace Health to provide a new campus health clinic. Grace Health has staffed this clinic with physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and front office staff to ensure a comprehensive primary care clinic. The clinic provides a convenient option for students, faculty, and staff to see a medical professional for treatment while receiving priority appointments.
“Through the partnership, we are able to provide timely comprehensive primary health care services to our students and employees on campus. For students, it provides services within walking distance of their dorms and classrooms,” said Brad Hall, vice president of external affairs at Cumberlands.
Grace Health aided Cumberlands at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, offering on-campus COVID testing for students and staff as part of Cumberlands’ comprehensive COVID operations.
Grace Health will also be working with the Cumberlands Counseling Center to accept referrals to Grace Health’s behavioral health providers. The clinic will house clinical education for Cumberlands’ physician assistant and nursing programs as well.
Jeff Campbell, the chief operating officer at Grace Health, stated, “Grace Health is excited to support the outstanding educational opportunities provided by University of the Cumberlands. With Grace’s commitment to primary health care for the whole person, students, and staff can focus on the university’s vision of professional and intellectual growth in a student-focused community.”
The clinic is located on Cumberlands’ campus on West Sycamore Street. It is open Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm when on-campus classes are in session during the fall and spring semesters.
