University of the Cumberlands was recently ranked among the best online universities in the nation according to EDsmart. Cumberlands was ranked number one in Kentucky and number seven in the nation, among nonprofit online universities reviewed by the organization. The list was released by EDsmart, a leading higher education research organization, who based their ranking on affordability, academic quality, student satisfaction and outcomes, the number of online students, and post-graduate earnings.
Notably, Cumberlands ranked higher than such universities as SNHU, Liberty, Johns Hopkins, Purdue, and Baylor. The article notes, “Cumberlands provides online access to academic advising, tutoring, technical support, library services, counseling, disability services, and more,” and that some degrees at UC can be completed in as little as 18 months. Cumberlands works with students and their needs, even offering free textbooks to every student, in-seat or online.
