The new non-profit management certificate aims to equip future leaders with the necessary tools and expertise to lead organizations.

Community, national, and global needs far exceed what can be properly addressed by government and private sector resources alone. Non-profits are key to filling the gap by providing critical social, economic, and environmental support and resources wherever they are needed most.

University of the Cumberlands’ new Non-Profit Management Certificate aims to equip future leaders with the necessary tools and expertise to effectively manage and lead these vital organizations.

"The non-profit sector plays an essential role in communities, and we are committed to providing the education and resources needed to lead these organizations successfully," said Dr. Daniel Kanyam, director of graduate business programs at University of the Cumberlands. "This new certificate program will prepare students with the skills necessary to thrive in leadership roles within the sector, helping them manage resources, oversee operations, and make a positive impact in their communities."

The Non-Profit Management Certificate is a 12-hour accredited program that can be completed entirely online, offering flexibility for working professionals. The curriculum covers key aspects of non-profit management, including organizational structure, leadership practices, financial management, human resource functions, and reporting procedures. The program is designed to provide students with the practical skills required to lead and manage non-profit organizations effectively.
