What better way to ring in the holiday season than with good music, hot cocoa, cookies, and quality time with friends and family?
University of the Cumberlands (UC) is hosting a free Christmas concert - Christmas at the Cumberlands - for community members of all ages on Sunday, December 2 at 4:00 p.m. in the O. Wayne Rollins Center on UC’s campus.
The program will feature bands, choirs, and faculty members from Cumberlands’ Department of Music. Cookies, hot chocolate, and coffee will be served in the Boswell Campus Center immediately following the concert. Williamsburg Mayor Roddy Harrison is this year’s guest emcee.
“We love this opportunity to share our talents with the community,” said Shawn Sudduth, Director of Music Education at UC. “The Christmas season is so full of vibrancy, warmth, connection, and celebration. It’s wonderful seeing our students enrich themselves through the arts during the semester and then use what they’ve learned to help the community come together and get excited for the holidays!”
The concert and following refreshments are free to all. For more information, contact the Department of Music at 606-539-4332.
