The Department of Art at University of the Cumberlands (UC) has opened a new exhibit in the campus gallery featuring works from the University’s collection.
The exhibit is comprised of 22 pieces from the Department of Art’s own collection. Some of these pieces include etchings, woodcuts, and lithographs. The art illustrates an assortment of subjects by artists dating as far back as the Renaissance Period and going through to the 21st century.
Several notable artists’ works will be on display, including Rembrandt van Rijn, Albercht Durer, Mary Cassatt, Pierre August Renior, and Kathe Kollowitz.
This particular show from the Department’s collection is showcased every fall semester. The Department also hosts several additional shows throughout the year, including a show in the spring featuring two senior art students’ portfolios.
The exhibit is now open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning September 4. It is located in the art gallery located in UC’s Luecker Building.
