Melanie Belcher is a retired classroom instructor and teacher leader with over thirty years of experience working with students, parents, and teachers in eastern Kentucky. She holds an Education Specialist degree from Morehead State University with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction. Belcher was a leader in her school's Professional Learning Communities, as well as, one of her school's Instructional Teacher Leaders, assisting the school district in curriculum design and development.
Belcher was awarded a Distinguished Educator Award from Pike County Schools and was the recipient of a Voyager Reading Award at Feds Creek Elementary School. Belcher resides with her husband, two dogs, and two cats at Ivel, KY. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, antique shopping, and spending time with her family.
