Ms. Wallin is retired from teaching middle school English/Language Arts for 21 years followed by spending her final four years as a library media specialist. She also served as an instructional coach for two years at the middle school level. However, she quickly discovered that she missed the challenges of the classroom. During her career, she presented at many state and national conferences such as the National Middle School Conference and Kentucky Council of Teachers of ELA. Additionally, she has extensive training as an instructional coach with a special emphasis on Professional Learning Communities. She also has provided countless hours of professional development in the areas of writing and reading.
Reading, camping, and scrapbooking take up what little time is left over for Mrs. Wallin after attending events with and for her three grandchildren both in Ashland and Nicholasville, KY.
