James T. Corcoran is currently an Adjunct Professor at University of the Cumberlands and a Lead Cybersecurity Analyst for a large telecommunications provider. He has been active in the cybersecurity space for over 15 years. His primary focus areas are in security engineering, threat modeling, incident response, threat hunting, and governance and compliance. He has previously held positions as a data analyst, cyber incident responder, security operations engineer, and network architect in the healthcare and defense industries.

James holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from ISC2 as well as the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification. He is a member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), the Society of Cable and Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is a veteran of the United States Air Force.

A native of Kentucky, he currently resides in Miami, FL. In his free time he enjoys reading, golf, pickup soccer, and volunteer work.
