Dr. William Souza has a Doctor of Science in Cybersecurity. Dr. Souza has more than 20 years of industry experience working in various organizations and consulting companies; he has dedicated the last 15 years to cybersecurity in critical infrastructure.
He is a knowledgeable educator with six years of online and on-campus college teaching experience in subject areas such as operating system security, database security, audit concepts, information security, network security, policy writing, and threats and countermeasures, among others. He also mentors' students in collaborative and constructive discussion and learning proficiency toward academic excellence. Dr. Souza has substantial subject-matter expertise in the areas of cybersecurity and information technology, assists in curriculum development, and has been involved in research committees’ activities, grant proposals, and research collaboration.
Dr. Souza is a natural, logical, critical thinker with knowledge of security controls framework development, information protection, and cognitive science. He is a true cybersecurity professional with years of experience in protecting critical infrastructure by designing, planning, deploying, and validating cybersecurity solutions.
