Initially, from Andrews Air Force Base in Camp Springs, Maryland, Dr. McGee is serving on active duty military for over 21 years, of which, 15 years as a signal systems and telecommunications engineering officer. He has served in various capacities in the military, ranging from Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Communications Officer, Operations Officer, Company Commander, Cyber Network Defense Manager, Cyber Protection Team Lead, and Cyber Innovation & Analytics Team Lead. Since July 2018, Dr. McGee earned the academic rank of Assistant Professor, and was assigned to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY for the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of the Cumberlands for the School of Computer and Information Sciences teaching:
