Dr. Michael B. Colegrove has served as a school administrator for more than 40 years. His civilian career has been enriched by a 30 year military career. His military training and leadership opportunities have prepared him to positively deal with challenging situations.
He is an experienced online instructor in the area of higher education, educational administration and leadership having taught graduate level classes for several years. He has achieved outstanding results and always strives to create a user-friendly learning environment. His goal is always to use the available technology for the benefit of the students. He believes that the key to effective teaching is the creation of an environment that will allow students to learn without intimidation and without obstacles. Students will learn at high levels when provided this instructional climate.
He has also been actively involved in the institutional accreditation process having served as member or chairperson of more than 25 visiting committees for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. This experience has provided Dr. Colegrove a unique opportunity to evaluate the internal workings of successful and unsuccessful institutions. He knows firsthand the requirements for achieving success. He has had experience with non-profit and for-profit schools.
Dr. Colegrove and his wife Donna, reside in Fishers, IN. Mrs. Colegrove is a retired music teacher. The Colegroves have one daughter, Kimberly who is married to Dr. Matt Joyce. Matt and Kimberly have two sons, Jackson and William. Dr. Colegrove holds an FAA Private Pilot Certificate and an FAA Small Unmanned Aircraft System Commercial Certificate.
