Magan Morin was ordained to the gospel ministry by Cornerstone Community Church in Williamsburg, KY in 2011. She is a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor through the American Association of Christian Counselors. She is also a Professional Life Coach through the International Board of Christian Care.
Magan earned a PhD in Leadership with a concentration in Christian Ministries from University of the Cumberlands in 2021. Her dissertation research is titled "Free to be Called: A Quantitative Study on Barriers Women Face in Attaining Church Leadership Roles in the Church." She served as a Resident Hall Director in Archer Hall for two years and as the Campus Ministry Associate and Director of Appalachian Ministries for eight years at UC prior to becoming a full time professor.
Magan and her husband Nathan have six children. Magan is an avid coffee fan and can be found at a local coffee shop in her spare time.
