Joshua Matthews is currently the principal at Lewisburg School in Logan County, Kentucky.  He began his professional career teaching and coaching at several universities across the country.  Over the course of a 12-year college coaching and teaching career, he found his passion was in K-12 education.  He returned to his hometown of Franklin, KY to embark on a new career teaching business education at Franklin-Simpson High School.  Over the past six years, he has served as an administrator in the Logan County School District.  He has given several professional presentations over the past five years covering topics such as 21st-century learning, the current state of discipline in schools, and student engagement.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his son AJ and playing golf.  He is married to Sharla Matthews and they have one son.
