Dr. Joshua Hutchens is a biblical theologian, who serves as the Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Missions at Overland Church in Fort Collins, Colorado. Additionally, he teaches in the Department of Missions and Ministry at the University of the Cumberlands. He is the author of "Persecution and Cosmic Conflict" and "The Bible Guidebook."
In 2016, Dr. Hutchens, alongside his wife Stacy Leigh, founded Gospel Life to equip pastors in Malawi, where they also served as missionaries from 2018 to 2024. He remains actively engaged as the president of the board of Gospel Life. Previously, Dr. Hutchens spent six years pastoring two churches in Kentucky and two years as a missionary in Moldova.
His academic research and writing focuses on the theology of New Testament letters and missiology. He also serves as a theological review editor for Zondervan Bibles, working on various projects, including "The Grace and Truth Study Bible."
Dr. and Mrs. Hutchens have five children. Dr. Hutchens enjoys hiking with his family and smoking meat on his Weber Kettle Grill.
