Jessica Wiggs is an adjunct professor in the Department of Clinical Counseling (Counselor Educator & Supervision). She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Professional Counselor supervisor in the state of Georgia. Jessica has received her Master’s in Professional Counseling, specializing in Military Resilience. Jessica earned her Ph.D. in Continuing Education and Supervision with an emphasis in Advanced Clinical Mental Health. Jessica has an eclectic clinical background that has a broad range, including overseeing daily operations at an inpatient psychiatric facility and supervising clinical staff to providing trauma-informed counseling to those who have experienced significant trauma. In addition to therapy, Jessica has a work history that ranges from completing psychiatric assessments and drug evaluations to supporting survivors as a victim advocate within a District Attorney’s office. Her areas of interest include trauma, resilience, alcohol and other drugs, severe and persistent mental illness, and crisis/disaster response. When not at work, Jessica enjoys the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and finding new adventures/experiences.
