I am a proud social worker and hold three degrees supporting my passion for practice. I am also a certified social worker licensed by the Kentucky Board of Social Work. I have twenty-three years of social work experience. Eighteen years of my experience is in child welfare. I have worked in the public sector of child welfare, for The Cabinet for Health and Family Services, and I have also worked for a private foster care agency. Eight of my years in child welfare were occupied in roles of supervision and leadership. I have been working in medical social work since leaving child welfare in 2019, serving patients at end of life in my work with Hospice, and most recently working for UK Health Care with HIV/HCV patients. I have also been teaching adjunct for several years now at multiple universities. Being a social work educator is something I take very seriously, and it is important for me to be a guide for the next generation of social workers. Cumberland is where my story began, and I am honored to be giving back!
