Dr. Jean C. Essila, fondly called Dr. Essila or Prof. Essila, holds a PhD in Engineering Management from George Washington University, a DBA in Business Management from California InterContinental University, and a Certificate in Business Analytics and a certificate in High Education Pedagogy from Harvard University. Additionally, he is an APICS Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution. 

Dr. Essila specializes in teaching supply chain management, logistics and transportation management, operations management, and management sciences. He is passionate about guiding students toward achieving their goals through engaging and innovative teaching methods, bringing his extensive real-world business experience into the classroom.

His dedication to research and teaching excellence earned him multiple awards, including the Outstanding Research Award, the Outstanding Graduate Faculty Award, and the Excellence in Scholarship Award. These accolades recognize his significant contributions to knowledge discovery, dissemination, and application, enhancing students' educational experience.

His notable roles include positions at ExxonMobil, Perenco, International Business Corporation, PWV Inc., Johnson Controls North America, and Harvard Consulting. In 2004, he was honored with the ExxonMobil Global Merit Award.

    Outside academia, Dr. Essila enjoys practicing karate, jogging, playing soccer, reading, and going to the movie theater. His motto is, "Life is fun and short, so enjoy as much of it as you can."
