Dr. Webster has worked in criminal justice for over twenty years. He began his career in 1997, serving in the U.S. Army for five years as a military policeman. After leaving the military, he worked at Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) for over twenty years. Dr. Webster retired from LMPD as a lieutenant in February 2023.
Dr. Webster’s law enforcement experience includes community policing advocacy, field training, squad supervision, coaching and mentoring, policy creation, and coordinating process improvement efforts. As a police commander, he led several units, including the School Resource Officer, Technical Services, Technical Investigations, Digital Forensics, and Video Open Records units.
He is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville and of the School of Police Staff & Command at Northwestern University. In 2022, Dr. Webster was recognized as the Commanding Officer of the Year. Outside his busy career life, he enjoys home improvement, traveling, and outdoor cooking.
