David has taught students in every format from middle school to Seminary and seeks to engage his classes through a Socratic Teaching Method. Most of his education and personal studies have focused on the historical setting, culture, languages, and philosophies of biblical times. David’s ThM took on the task of assembling an accurate description of the first-century Jewish wedding process through primary sources and identifying how Jesus used the imagery of this wedding to foretell His second coming. His doctoral work focused on assessing current biblical language pedagogy in higher education and determining a contemporary and student-focused approach to using original languages in ministry. But, most importantly, David is passionate about mentoring believers to help them strengthen their relationship with Christ and to grow as strong and faithful witnesses to the world around them. David and his wife Alayna have been married since 2005 and have three wonderful children (Scarlet, Emerson, Lacy). They are passionate about missions and have devoted much of their marriage to Muslim ministry through outreaches in Turkey and Malasia and building gospel relationships with Muslims here in the US. David also loves basketball, football, motorcycles, and fast cars.
