Dr. Cherieda Washington is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Mental Health Therapist in Mississippi. As an educator and mental health professional, she is dedicated to fostering student success in both secondary and higher education. She specializes in counseling for children, adolescents, and young adults, providing passionate support to help clients navigate their educational and professional journeys.

Dr. Washington’s research interests include multiculturalism, social justice, and the experiences of underserved communities. She frequently presents at academic, church, and professional events and mentors future counselors. She is an active member of professional societies such as Chi Sigma Iota (CSI), the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (SACES), and the Mississippi Counseling Association (MCA).

Outside of her professional work, Dr. Washington is involved in community outreach and liturgical dance through her church. She also enjoys fishing with her husband and treasures life in Mississippi, where they live with their three children and two dogs.
