Dr. Chatto has 35 years of physical therapy clinical experience in acute and critical care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient, and home health with adults and pediatrics. She has 27 years of academic experience, with Emerita status at Augusta University since 2021. Her clinical and educational experience includes, for the last 10 years, work in Haiti with Global Therapy Group and currently with the Episcopal University of Haiti.
In her career, Dr. Chatto has been honored with Outstanding Faculty, Distinguished Service, and Outstanding Clinical Educator awards. And in 2017, was chosen to participate in the Harvard-Macy Institute Program for Educators in Health Professions.
Her research areas are focused on the most effective physical therapy interventions to drive neuroplasticity, especially with patients with Parkinson’s Disease. She is also involved in scholarship of teaching and learning, with a focus on both neuroanatomy and the development of compassion in physical therapy education.
And whenever possible, she loves hiking in the forest.
