Dr. Andre Slonopas holds a professorship at the University of Cumberlands' Department of Information Technologies. His ground-breaking work in cybersecurity and hardware development, particularly in innovative material applications, has attracted major attention. He has a passion for network and Internet of Things security. Dr. Slonopas has worked on numerous articles, book chapters, and conference presentations prior to joining the University in 2023, representing both academic and government research responsibilities.

His extensive background includes work with numerous DoE and DoD laboratories, Presidential Management Fellowship, and an exceptional career as a researcher and avid promoter of novel cybersecurity concepts. His membership in the Society of Military Engineers and his qualifications as an Army-licensed Cyber Operations Officer are also significant. Dr. Slonopas is actively involved in numerous councils outside of his academic and military endeavors, which helps to maintain the vitality of numerous esteemed research and regulatory bodies.

Outside of the classroom, Dr. Slonopas fervently supports technical outreach programs for refugee teens and high school students, guaranteeing that the following generation is equally prepared to lead technology breakthroughs.
