Devon Goings came to the University of the Cumberlands as a student athlete (Men’s Wrestling) in 2013. He joined Cumberlands’ staff in the Spring of 2016. He started out as a Residence Hall Director, then become one of the Associate Campus Ministers and worked with Sports Ministries in 2018, and then became an instructor in Theological Studies for the Missions and Ministries department and became the Director of Diversity & Inclusion in 2022. As Director of Diversity & Inclusion, Devon seeks to have our students be interpersonally curious, conversationally charitable, and ultimately take advantage of the opportunity to engage with all kinds of people from all over the world on our campus. He is also seeking to have a biblical and epistemologically self-conscious approach to Diversity & Inclusion. Devon has a passion for engaging students and loves to see them grow and mature throughout their college career. Devon is married to his best friend, Landry, and is a member of Cornerstone Community Church.
