Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Campus will close on December 18 for the holidays and will reopen on January 2.

Deborah Dobson graduated from Cumberland College in 1975, planning to teach business classes to high school students; however, she became a stay-at-home to three sons. She later earned certification in secondary English education and began her teaching career at Clay County High School in Manchester, Kentucky, in 1993. She spent twenty years teaching various English courses there, focusing on English IV from 1997 to 2013.

In 2013, Ms. Dobson retired from her P-12 teaching career and began her work in higher education when she accepted the position of Field and Clinical Director at UC. In that role, she works primarily in the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program, arranging field hour placements and student teacher placements, and working closely with MAT clinical educators.

Ms. Dobson appreciates the opportunity to serve the college she attended as an undergraduate and enjoys collaborating with her colleagues. She appreciates the many improvements made to UC's buildings and grounds over the years, never tiring of the beauty she sees in her walks across campus.
