Professor Ball graduated from the University of Kentucky and Chase College of Law. After passing the Kentucky Bar Exam, she continued to work in pre-trial litigation related to asbestos until Governor Ernie Fletcher asked her to serve as the General Counsel for the Governor's Office of Agricultural Policy. She worked directly with the litigation team to secure the funds for the Phase II Tobacco Settlement and distribute the funds to farmers through the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board. Professor Ball served in this role in two administrations before transitioning to her current position in the Administrative Office of the Courts in the 41st Circuit. Professor Ball joined the History and Political Science Department in 2018.
