I completed my MBA online at the University of the Cumberlands, which allowed me to optimize my schedule and maintain a good balance between my professional workload and the MBA program. Upon finishing my MBA, it allowed me to advance my career more quickly into a senior analyst role. Without the MBA, I would not have had these opportunities.

Common Questions

An online MBA is a Master of Business Administration degree program offered in a convenient online format. Many students pursuing a graduate business degree already work full time and need the flexibility online learning offers. Otherwise, an online MBA program is much the same as a traditional master’s degree in business administration. The program teaches the skills needed for advanced management and leadership roles in business.

With an MBA, you’ll be equipped to pursue career advancement in management and leadership roles. Or, if you dream of launching your own business, an MBA can help you do that successfully.

An online MBA from a respected, accredited business school will be taken seriously in the business world and can help you achieve your professional goals. Good news: University of the Cumberlands is accredited and respected, both in academia and in the workforce. Pursuing your online MBA at Cumberlands will take away the stress of wondering whether your degree will be taken seriously later on. We’re proud to say that it will.

Typically, MBA programs feature core business coursework in disciplines such as economics, finance, marketing, managerial accounting, and human resources. In this online MBA, you’ll build on your undergraduate learning and professional experience while preparing to tackle advanced business challenges. In most cases, students also select a concentration in an area relevant to their goals—such as entrepreneurship or project management—or an industry, such as healthcare administration. Whatever your future career is, our online MBA curriculum is ready to help you prepare!

An MBA equips you for management and leadership roles, and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that management occupations will add more than half a million new jobs over the next decade. So, we would say, yes! Online MBA programs are growing more common today, giving working professionals a flexible way to advance their skills. For many, the expertise and credentials gained from this degree are well worth it.
