BRITTANY HOLLIMAN RECEIVES GEORGE I. ALDEN SCHOLARSHIP

 


WILLIAMSBURG, Ky.- University of the Cumberlands presented Brittany Holliman (East Point, Kentucky) with the George I. Alden Endowed Scholarship during the fifty-second Honors Day Convocation on Monday April 25, 2011.

The George I. Alden Endowed Scholarship Fund, established in 1981 by the George I. Alden Trust, provides one-half tuition scholarships for six students and full tuition scholarships for two students; all of who must be majoring in scientific areas.

A sophomore biology major and chemistry minor, Holliman received the one-half tuition endowed scholarship for the 2011-2012 year.

Currently, Brittany is a high honor student having attained a minimum of 3.85 cumulative standing.

Located in Williamsburg, KY, University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; seven graduate degrees, including a doctorate and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
