Kyle Creekmore Earns Management Information Systems Award


Williamsburg, Ky. - On Monday April 25, University of the Cumberlands (UC) held their annual Honors Day Convocation. The program honors students, faculty, and staff for their achievements during the academic school year. One of the honored students was Kyle Creekmore (Williamsburg, KY) who was presented with the Dr. Edward L. Hutton School of Business Management Information Systems Award.

Kyle, the son of Russell and Mary, will be graduating in May with High Honors and receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems and Mathematics.

He is a presidential scholar, a member of the Sigma Beta Delta honor society, and the Kappa Mu Epsilon honor society.

Kyle is also being inducted into the J.T. Vallandingham Scholastic Honor Society. This is the highest honor a student can achieve at UC. To be eligible a student must have completed 96 semester hours as a full-time student and have a 3.5 standing or better each semester. The student must also have a cumulative standing of 3.7 or better. Transfer students have a different set of rules depending on G.P.A. and number of hours taken at UC.

Kyle is a member of the Hutton Business Club, the Math and Physics Club, and the UC Student Government Association. During his college career, he worked for TEKSwork, LLC as a developer and technician.

Currently, Kyle is employed by the IT Department of the University of the Cumberlands.

Located in Williamsburg, KY, University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; seven graduate degrees, including a doctorate and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
