WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – UC students and Mountain Outreach volunteers received food from relief organization Feed the Children on Friday, Dec. 10. Cereal, bottled water, salad dressing and Twix bars filled a semi-trailer and came neatly wrapped on 24 skids. The food items were distributed evenly among the 197 families who were registered for the Mountain Outreach Gift Day.

Walbert Trucking, Inc., of Glasgow, Ky., donated the truck and trailer and the driver’s time to haul the donation from Nashville, Tenn., to Williamsburg. Transportation was arranged by Jerry Thomas of Coral Hill Baptist Church in Glasgow, Ky.

Mountain Outreach is a University of the Cumberlands ministry, with students and volunteers building more than 130 homes and making repairs and renovations to hundreds more for 27 years.
