Cumberlands business students teach fourth graders about money

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. —Eleven members of University of the Cumberlands’ chapter of Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society for Business, Management and Administration and four Hutton School of Business faculty members recently presented “Kids Count” to approximately 60 Williamsburg Elementary fourth grade students.

Kids Count is a financial literacy program sponsored by the Kentucky Society of CPAs that teaches children the importance of saving money. All fourth grade students received educational materials to take home to their parents. According to the students, the best part of the presentation was receiving a large piggy bank.
