"Gift Day is important to the community because it teaches kids that there is more to Christmas than receiving," said Mountain Outreach Director David Honeycutt. "It allows them to be part of the giving."

Honeycutt is hopeful that by demonstrating a generous attitude toward Christmas, Gift Day will teach children to one day reflect kindness toward the community.

Kid’s Gift Day is an annual event providing children the opportunity to select Christmas gifts to give to parents. Members of the community and local businesses donate the give away items.
