Moak honored at University of the Cumberlands


Dr. Eric Wake presents Jacob Moak with the 2010 Political Science Award.

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — Jacob Moak received the History and Political Science Department’s 2010 Political Science Award at the 51st annual Honors Day Convocation at University of the Cumberlands. He was also recognized for High Honor at the University, and was selected to membership in the 2009-2010 Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges.

Departmental awards are awarded based on a student’s academic achievement, service to the department and service to the University. To achieve recognition for High Honor, a student must attain a minimum of 3.85 cumulative standing.

Who’s Who is open to juniors and seniors who have been selected by the faculty and staff. These students have excelled in one or more of the following areas: participation and leadership in academic and extracurricular activities; citizenship and service to the school and community; and potential for future achievement.

Moak is a junior at the University. He is from Prestonsburg.
