Cumberlands students inducted into Psi Chi

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – University of the Cumberlands chapter of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, is proud to announce its newest inductees: Jerelle Callihan Russell Springs, Ky., Derrick Dopel Corbin, Ky., Michelle Gerbracht Williamsburg, Ky., Gregory Hummel Rockholds, Ky., Jefferson Jones Scobey, Mont., Tierenee Sturdivant Union City, Tenn. and Jancee Wright Russell Springs, Ky. Students were inducted on April 29 by Dr. Dennis Trickett, chair of the psychology department.

Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology. Founded in 1929, the purpose of Psi Chi is to encourage, stimulate and maintain excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology. Students inducted into the honor society must be at least a second-semester sophomore enrolled as a student full time as a major or minor in psychology and have completed at least nine semester hours of psychology courses. Students must have an overall GPA that is in the top 35% of their class and must be at least a 3.00 on a 4-point scale.
