Patriot Marching Band Performs for More than 30 Kentucky High School Bands

The UC Patriot Marching Band performed at the Pulaski County High School Marching Band Invitational on October 17.

Williamsburg - Everyone knows that football is a regular part of fall in America, but did you know that it is also a very significant time for Marching Bands as well? Band members begin their season much like athletes do – band camps occur in the summer and then rehearsals, events, competitions and fun dominate the first months of each school year.

The Patriot Marching Band is no exception. Already visible at all the home football games, the Pride of the Kentucky Mountains has recently performed in exhibition as the guest band at two recent high school marching band competitions. Appearing at Corbin High School’s Marching Competition on October 10th and most recently featured at the Pulaski County High School Marching Band Invitational, October 17th, the UC Patriot Marching Band has performed for more than 30 Kentucky high school bands and their guests!

This year’s show is an exciting combination of energy-packed sound and fascinating visual appeal and highlights the sounds of Latin Jazz. Enjoy the dance energy of the color guard, the captivating drum line and big sounds of the UC Band! Join us on October 24 at half-time of the UC vs. W Virginia U Tech football game or October 31 as the football team takes on Campellsville University!
