University of the Cumberlands Hosts Homeland Security Workshop on July 14th


Representatives from various universities throughout Kentucky and Tennessee participate in an awareness level course to prepare for possible emergency situations.

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. –University of the Cumberlands held a Homeland Security workshop for universities in Kentucky and Tennessee on July 14th at Cumberland Inn.

Coordinated by West Virginia University, the workshop entitled, “Homeland Security Planning for Campus Executives,” allowed leaders from twelve universities throughout Kentucky and Tennessee to participate in an awareness level course to help campuses better prepare for any possibility of threats to safety or security. Joining the list of deans, campus officials and police chiefs, were several officials from the University of the Cumberlands, including Dr. Michael Colegrove, vice president of Student Services, and Kyle Gilbert, vice president of Operations.
