Dr. Gina Bowlin, assistant professor of human services at University of the Cumberlands presents the Human Services Department’s 2009 Award for Outstanding Achievement to Mason Sutton during the annual Honors Day Convocation.

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — Mason Sutton received the Human Services Department’s 2009 Award for Outstanding Achievement during the 50^th annual Honors Day Convocation, on April 27, at University of the Cumberlands.

The son of Marlin and Teresa Sutton, of Clarksville, Ohio, Sutton received a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Business Administration degree during Commencement Services on May 9.

For three years, Sutton has served as a mentor in the mentoring program and as a Star in the Insights Program. During his time at UC, Mason has participated in Appalachian Ministries, and he has worked in the Career Services Office on campus for 4 years. He plans to attend graduate school and pursue a Master of Business Administration degree.
