Free health and fitness fair to be held at University of the Cumberlands

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – University of the Cumberlands will host Dare to Compare: Fitness Five Health Fair from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., Thursday, April 23, in the O. Wayne Rollins Center. This is a free health and fitness fair and is open to the public.

Dare to Compare: Fitness Five Health Fair, a fun health and fitness program for all ages, is a semi-annual event sponsored by Cumberlands’ Health, Exercise and Sport Science Department and the Cumberland River Comprehensive Care Center. The public is encouraged to take advantage of free health and fitness assessments and screenings provided during the day’s activities, including free blood glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings. Also, community health and fitness professionals will be present to provide information and consultation regarding your health and fitness needs.

Dare to Compare: Fitness Five is based on the five components of fitness:

1. Cardiovascular Endurance
2. Body Mass Index and Body Composition
3. Muscular Strength
4. Muscular Endurance
5. Flexibility
