The group consisted of eighteen people, mostly youth. Kimberley Carpino, a member of the Hillcrest youth group who just turned sixteen said, “[Working with Mountain Outreach] is the best birthday gift I could get,” she said. “I just love it,” said another group member Justin Lundgren. “I came last year and wanted to come back. It’s really helping people.” During their time there, group members gained first hand knowledge as they helped to insulate, install dry wall and paint the London area home. Hillcrest Baptist is the third church group to partner with Mountain Outreach in the completion of this home. University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, is a private liberal arts college in its 118th year of operation.
