WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - It was one of their finest hours, as graduates of Adult & Extended Programs at University of the Cumberlands enjoyed the commencement service and walked across the stage.

On Saturday, May 5, PACE students were recognized for their academic achievements in the 2-year accelerated program for a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management. Most of them had taken additional courses through the Bridge Program, which also meets just one night a week and allows individuals to complete the required general education courses and electives outside the major.

Honored as summa cum laude were Rachel Cima and Gloria Inman, while Linda Lawson, Tammy Morgan, and Russell Sewell were recognized as magna cum laude. Cum laude graduates were Charles Allen and Sherry Reed.

"We're very proud of all our adult students," said Dr. Garland Young, director. "They've worked hard to set an example for their children, to keep promises to their own parents, and to earn the degree that will make a difference in their personal careers and the financial lives of their families."

Adult & Extended Programs offers busy, working adults the opportunity to take one class at a time, one night a week or online, to complete a degree in organizational management.
