DeLozier Receives Gorman Jones Campus Leadership Award at UC


WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - University of the Cumberlands is proud to announce that Kathryn Nicole DeLozier of Crestwood, Ky., is a recipient of the Gorman Jones Scholarship.

DeLozier, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter DeLozier, is pursuing double majors in mathematics and business administration and a minor in Spanish.

The Gorman Jones Scholarship was established, and is awarded each year in honor of Professor Gorman Jones. Scholarships are awarded each year to deserving students who show evidence of academic proficiency.

Jones labored from 1891 until 1936 serving the youth of this institution and the entire area. He was an excellent educator with his primary teaching responsibilities in history and French, but also branching into the fields of Greek and American government.

University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, is a private liberal arts college in its 118th year of operation. Cumberlands offers four undergraduate degrees in 37 major fields of study, 30 minors and nine pre-professional programs, graduate degrees and certifications in education as well as online and accelerated, nontraditional programs for adults.
