Allison Day Receives A.T. Siler Leadership Award

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - University of the Cumberlands is proud to announce that Allison Day, of Williamsburg, is the recipient of the A.T. Siler Leadership Award.

Each candidate must possess the qualities which indicate the potential for becoming someone who will make an outstanding contribution to his/her community in the future.

Allison is an elementary education major with a special education emphasis and Spanish minor. She is an active member of Kentucky Educators of America (KEA) and Baptist Campus Ministries. Allison is also an Academic Resource Center tutor, a STAR and a resident assistant. Allison has participated in mission trips in Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana and Michigan. This past summer, she spent seven weeks in Poland teaching English in schools and churches across the country. Allison says that in everything she does, she hopes that people will not just see her, but instead, that they see Jesus and His great love for every person.

University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Ky., is a private liberal arts college in its 118th year of operation. Cumberland offers four undergraduate degrees in 37 major fields of study, 30 minors and nine pre-professional programs.
