Albert Jones speaks at University of the Cumberlands’ convocation

 


WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – On Monday, April 9, Dr. Albert Jones, minister of students at Main Street Baptist Church in Williamsburg, was the speaker at University of the Cumberlands’ freshman convocation. Jones spoke of the power of the resurrection.

Jones’ message, delivered the day after Easter Sunday, mentioned several things the resurrection does. “The resurrection,” said Jones, “has the power to draw people to Jesus Christ, the ability to shake the world’s foundation and the power to give life purpose.”

University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, is a private liberal arts college in its 118th year of operation. Cumberlands offers four undergraduate degrees in 37 major fields of study, 30 minors and nine pre-professional programs, graduate degrees and certifications in education as well as online and accelerated, nontraditional programs for adults.
