Art Major Ian Wenstrand's work to be presented April 23-27

Visit the J. M. Boswell gallery to enjoy more of UC art major Ian Wenstrand's work in his senior exhibit presented April 23-27. The opening reception begins at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25.

Sometimes featured in University of the Cumberlands' publication "Pensworth," Wenstrand's images in oil, watercolor, charcoal, clay, plaster and other mediums reflect an influence from his frequent visits to major cities such as Chicago and Seattle. Campus Activities Board posters and various logos, including that of the University's Quality Enhancement Plan, are products of his skill and desire to pursue a graphic design career after his May graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Art. Wenstrand, the son of Keith and Karen Wenstrand of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, is a recipient of the Bella Bender Lipps award in art.

The UC gallery, open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday, is located in the Andersen Building on campus, and admission is free. For more information, call the Art Department at 539-4416.
