Cumberlands Show Choir Concert to be held Tuesday, April 10

It's a multi-faceted study in joyful celebration of life! Attend the University of the Cumberlands Show Choir's concert, directed by Dr. Jeff Smoak, at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, for a two-part program in song.

The first collection of songs focuses on Life, Death, and Resurrection, with works ranging from Michael Larkin's arrangement "Ose Shalom" to Rollo Dilworth's spiritual "No Rocks A-Cryin'." Also in that series, Kaylie Warfield is featured in "Witness for My Lord," and Joe Arthur solos in "Behold the Man."

Part Two presents "A Trip Back in Time" with selections such as "May It Be" from "The Lord of the Rings," as well as "The Beatles in Revue," an arrangement by Ed Lojeski, spotlighting the voices of Brandi Middleton, Jeremy Burns, Megan Magallon and Andrew Morrison. Sarah Burton performs individually in "Out Here on My Own," while Katie Houck and Lucas Matlock sing in "Mr. Bojangles." The talents of trumpet player Ashley Murray enrich "What a Wonderful World."

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Nell Moore Recital Hall of the Grace Crum Rollins Fine Arts Center on the UC campus, and admission is free. For more information, contact the Music Department at 539-4332.
