Zell Miller to speak at University of the Cumberlands

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – Zell Miller, the only person ever to have been the keynote speaker in both the Republican and Democratic national conventions, is to speak on March 29th during a special Patriotic Leadership program at University of the Cumberlands.

Miller is the out-spoken U.S. Senator, nationally-acclaimed governor, best-selling author, university professor, dedicated Christian and U.S. Marine Sergeant. However, Miller is perhaps best known for his support of President George W. Bush during the 2004 presidential election. He chose Bush over any of the other candidates in his own Democratic party. This fiercely independent conservative tells it like he sees it and no one doubts where he stands on any issue.

The Patriotic Leadership program is the second annual program in the Lecture Series presented by the First Corbin Financial Corporation Center for Excellence at University of the Cumberlands. The funding for the center is provided by former Cumberland professor Terry Forcht and his wife Marion, now owners of First Corbin Financial Corporation. The center provides programs and activities to enhance the development of leadership, character and good citizenship.

The Patriotic Leadership program beings at 7 p.m. in Cumberlands’ O. Wayne Rollins Center. Area leaders exemplifying patriotism will be recognized during the program. Tickets are free and available on a first come first serve basis. Reserve yours today by calling University of the Cumberlands' Ticket line at (606) 539-4432.
