OnlineU names UC’s Christian Studies Online #3 for Affordability

Williamsburg, KY- University of the Cumberlands’ (UC) Online program has been featured on OnlineU as offering one of the most affordable college online degrees. The Christian Studies program made an impressive landing at #3 on the list of rankings.

Many grads often find themselves in a mountain of debt after graduation. OnlineU released the first rankings of its kind: the 25 most affordable online degrees by subject. This research and database company is trying to help prospective students get a college degree without the burden of massive debt.

“With the average price of college skyrocketing forcing many students to rely on student loans to fund their education, we were impressed with UC’s ability to continue to offer affordable online degrees,” said Head of Marketing at SR Education Group, Kimberly Wetter. “SR Education Group is focused on helping students find the best school to fit both their budget and educational needs and we are excited to feature University of the Cumberlands as offering some of the most affordable degree programs available online.”

There are 141 colleges on the lists that offer an annual tuition of less than $10,000, and seven are less than $5,000 per year. With fully online programs and total tuition costs under $40,000, these schools are making education accessible and affordable and University of the Cumberlands is pleased to be included on this list. UC offers one of the most affordable online Christian studies degrees with an annual tuition of $4,490.

“It is a very nice to have University of the Cumberlands honored and recognized for its ability to provide its students with an incredible education that doesn’t break the bank and put them too far into debt,” said UC’s Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Larry Cockrum. “Our online programs have continued to grow because they are affordable, accessible, and the quality of the material taught truly provides the students with the proper tools and knowledge to be ready for a successful career.”

To be considered for inclusion in the 2014 Most Affordable U.S. Online College Rankings, online colleges must be accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and offer fully online programs, so that students located anywhere in the country can pursue their degrees. OnlineU.org is a non-profit and doesn't charge for this recognition.
