Chelsey Campbell earns Elementary Education Honor at Cumberlands

 


Williamsburg, KY.- Chelsey Danielle Campbell (Verona, KY) was honored with the 2014 Elementary Education Award at the 55th Annual Honors Day held in the Gatliff Chapel at University of the Cumberlands (UC) on April 27, 2014.

Each year, the Undergraduate Education Department recognizes students for excellence in the areas of elementary, middle school, secondary, and special education certification.

Campbell, this year’s recipient of the Elementary Education Award, is the daughter of Steve and Geri Campbell of Verona, Kentucky. She excels in both the campus classroom and her student teaching classroom where she enjoys teaching first and fourth graders. She is secretary of Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society and has achieved a 3.7 grade point average (GPA). She is on the Dean’s List for her academic excellence.

Campbell has volunteered many hours at her church helping with the nursery, teaching Children's Church, and Sunday School. She also volunteered her time helping with Operation Christmas Child.
