Donovan Feenstra Earns Business Administration Award at UC

 


Williamsburg, KY- University of the Cumberlands (UC) presented Donovan Feenstra (Calgary, Alberta Canada) with the Business Administration Award during the Fifty-Fifth Annual Honors Day held April 27th in the Gatliff Chapel on UC’s campus.

The Dr. Edward L. Hutton School of Business 2014 Business Administration Award was presented to Feenstra for his hard work, dedication, and excellence in Business Administration.

Feenstra has a perfect GPA while double majoring in Business Administration and Management Information Systems. He was inducted into Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society for Business and Administration in 2012. He also achieved High Honors from 2011 to 2014.

In addition, Feenstra was also named to the J.T. Vallandingham Scholastic Honor Society. In order to be eligible for membership, a student must have completed at least 96 semester hours as a full-time student and have a 3.5 standing or better each semester. The student must have a cumulative standing of 3.7 or better. Students who have transferred to the University have a different set of rules depending on G.P.A. and number of hours taken at UC.

Feenstra was also named to the University’s High Honor Roll. Students recognized for this honor must attain a minimum of 3.85 cumulative grade point average standing.

While maintaining success in academics, Feenstra has been a member of the UC Varsity Baseball team for four years. He was named to the Mid-South Conference All-Conference team in 2012 and 2013. In recognition of his academic and athletic accomplishments, Feenstra was named an NAIA Academic All-American in 2013.

He plans to continue his education by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Donovan is married to Carissa Feenstra and is the son of Ron and Sheri Feenstra of Calgary, Alberta Canada.
