Amber Hipsher awarded and honored at UC’s 55th Annual Honors Day

 


Williamsburg, Ky. – Amber Hipsher (Morristown, Tenn.) earned the American Association Teachers of French: Outstanding Senior in French Award at the 55th Annual Honors Day held in the Gatliff Chapel at University of the Cumberlands (UC) on April 27, 2014.

Amber Hipsher, the daughter of Roy and Cindy Hipsher, is an elementary education major with dual emphasis in fine arts and French teaching K-12. Last summer, she studied abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France thanks to a scholarship through Pi Delta Phi, the French honors society. She is also a part of the education honors society, Kappa Delta Pi, and a Hutton Scholar.

Hipsher was also named to the University’s High Honor Roll. Students recognized for this honor must attain a minimum of 3.85 cumulative grade point average standing.

Upon graduation, she is planning to go back to school to get a Certified Nursing Assistant license while she looks for a full-time elementary teaching job.
